huffy hipster bike build

thought I would turn this old 77 huffy sea pines 3 speed into a hipster bike and sell it.........so far I have pulled the fenders and chain guard

swapped out the seat and flipped the handlebars upside down.... I have seen this on some hipster bikes

I like it! I think you should've left the fenders on though, that's part of its charm.

the fenders were pretty ugly up close.....lots of chrome coming off due to rust

Like it so far...A single front caliper brake might be a nice mod.

its a 3 speed hub in the back.... I still need to get the brakes done

through some research I found out that the only tires that will fit is 26x1 3/8"......3 speeds and some dept store bikes used this size tire....not all 26" wheels are the same ... there are 3 different bead diameters between 3 different 26" wheels.... one is the most common MTB size , another is a schwinn only 26"( MTB wheel will fall right through the tire) and then there is this 26" that only a 26x 1 3/8" tire will fit on.....gotta love some of the odd sizes used throughout the years
