Vintage mongoose moto-mag?

Postby Biggin76 » Sun Jul 30, 2017 9:43 am

Was cleaning out a shed for a man and ended up with an old mongoose bmx, it says moto-mag on it and that it's chromolly....but these moto-mag 2 20" mags are crack free and look strait as hell. Anyway it's all in parts... I got the frame, crank and chainring(kinda matches the wheels), fork, and bars, The stem was nowhere to be seen

I feel like the wheels are worth something if they're not missing any pieces as the webbing was pretty thin. Also, some of them were coaster brake which is obviously not as desirable.

I saw one a while back. It was rough, but the wheels were fine. And coaster brake.

You might find some info on Bikepedia. On our local CL there’s a guy that always has vintage BMX bikes for sale. Lots of GT’s and Mongooses (Mongeese?). I think Mongoose got its start with the mag as a replacement wheel.
