my home trail network build PIC HEAVY

Postby moron88 » Tue Jun 09, 2015 5:51 pm

this seemed like the best place for this tread. i recently purchased a BBB for weight loss and recreation but i dont want to drive to the local trails and i am in no shape to ride a mountain bike 15+ miles to and from the local trails. the only logical solution is to build trails around my property. i am quite fortunate to have 4 acres that i can use. today i mowed a few paths through the back field so let's get to the pics.

first, just to give you an idea of what it takes to make your own trails. here is the mower i used

i know, super fancy. it's ok to be jealous.

no for the trail entrance. this is at the end of my driveway

Nice! Really makes me wish I bought a place with a massive shop and land. Looks like a fun trail.

thanks! the trail is fun but exhausting. the ground is soft and the grass just drags you down, then the suspension fork saps some of the pedaling energy. i cant do 2 full laps, i'm pooped half way around turtle loop the second time.
i was raised here. my mom's grandpa bought this place back in the 60's. now my nephews, the 5th generation, play in the front yard. used to have the better part of 10 acres but sold about 5.5 in the late 90's or early 00's
