Drainage Ditches

Postby cloud8a » Sun May 26, 2013 3:14 pm

I don't think they are the safest place to ride, but if you want a little edge and cant get out to the trail, try your neighborhood drainage ditch. I would advise one to do this only if the suburb they live in is somewhat safe.
The wet areas are slippery and traction can be lost very easy. I live in the town where I grew up and rode the maze of ditches that carve through the neighborhoods when I was a kid. walked the railroad track bridges over them and played in them alot. I know what to expect. In the images below you can see the uniqueness and the dangers of the drainage ditch ride.
