Postby junkyarddog » Sun Sep 09, 2012 1:37 pm

I guess this falls into the kids bikes forum being a 24" bike......

bought this last year and it went in to storage for almost a year.....brought it out of storage shortly before i got the V2100....put on skull valve caps and a purple water bottle cage not long after that

the seat on this was basically vinyl stretched over plastic.... very hard to sit on while riding...... used the seat I took off the V2100 and put a gel seat cover on it.... much better

she had saw pedals on amazon that changed from white to purple in the sunlight and wanted a set..... we found some at walmart for cheaper, the pedals on the sub $100 are 1/2" thread ( and one piece crank) basically these are bmx platform pedals

she wanted this minie plate on there , so i had to change a few things.... used some reflectors I saved from an old bike we tossed and found a bracket in my junk box that would work to bolt it to one of the rack mounts

she wanted a mirror so we tried this bell mirror that you could strap on the handlebar.... it was pretty much a waste of $8.... I found this other bell mirror to try , I will keep you posted if it work ok or not.... at this point not sure what else if anything will be done to her bike....she wants some grips like the ones I am looking at for my V2100 ( moto grip or origin8 skull grips) seems there isn't much aftermarket for replacement grips for grip shift

Nice build! Bet your wife is very happy with you (wink, wink). BTW, how well does that handle bar mirror work? I had put a similar style on a cruiser, but couldn't see past my left sholder/arm. So it was rather useless for anything other than watching your biceps flex while riding..... :D

I dont know...... seems the only mirrors that really work for me are the ones that mount to your helmet
