Because I don't have enough bikes or projects.
I stumbled across this at a Goodwill for $39.99 and 50% off.

I was pretty certain it had never been ridden:

First order of business, after flipping the fork and handlebars around, was removing the annoying plastic bits - chain guard and reflectors. Because no one ever said "Thank god that car saw me because of this cheap plastic reflector."

Everything will have to be pulled and lubed. The fork is so stiff that it doesn't even flip back when I put the bike in my repair stand. Brakes were actually functional.

Pedals and seat, of course, will be replaced. Other than that, not sure what else needs to be done to it.

After playing with the bike for a bit and reading others' experiences here, I decided this might not be a good bike for me. The dusting of green paint on the rear brakes and blue on the front further convinced me. The color of the rims was one of the fun points of this bike and it was obvious that the color would be worn off in no time.

I sold it on OfferUp for $60 in a matter of minutes.

Back to looking for a fixie to fix up.

Nice sell but I think it could’ve been a neat bike although I don’t really know what others thought about it. Were the rims alloy? Even the black anodized Alex rims on one of my 26ers has lost the anodizing on the braking surface. With the track-style dropouts it would’ve been a great bike to keep tensioned.
