Huffy Explorer DIY Cargo Bike

Postby BIGDCYCLES » Fri Jun 20, 2014 6:03 am

This is my home built long tail cargo bike I am working on. Nothing more than an old womens box store huffy frame because a step through is better when loaded, a mongoose xr 75 rear suspension triangle with slight modification, some scrap metal, spare parts, and sweat equity.

nice :D
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

What a great project!!! Want to see this as you follow through. Do you know what sort of cargo you'll be carrying?

Wow, I have not been on here in a while. Well, this one is no more, picked up a lighter and stronger Schwinn frame that is 4130 chromoly with better components all around. Will be used to haul all kinds of stuff. Kid, groceries, beer, wine, tools, you name it. Working on that one and a better rear cargo frame. Robbing parts from a specialized and adding in where needed. Should be a good cheap, strong bike.
