How to Ride on Flat Pedals and look Good Doing It!

Postby wa_desert_rat » Thu Oct 02, 2014 10:57 am

I posted this link in the "General" forum but I thought I'd post it here too. I might even make it "sticky" because it illustrates a point that I think is important. Namely: you don't have to "clip in" to ride a mountain bike well.

Danny Mcaskill is well known for his trials videos set in weird locales and with a music background. But this is perhaps the most amazing so far. He even rides fast!!! Notice that he is NOT clipped in!!! He rides on flat pedals that allow him to use his feet to connect to the bike in a way that clipping in cannot do.

Really terrific riding style!

No other way to fly brother! Platforms (flats) all the way. I have shred on clipless, and my riding was always better and more skilled on flats. Clipless are great for climbing, and cheating on bike skills. If you really want to be a exceptional and skilled shredder, then flats is where you want to fly with point blank and all hands down.
