kent bicycles, which makes the (licensed) GMC Denali among others in china, has built a factory in South Carolina to assemble some bikes, and eventually manufacture the parts.

i don't care all that much where they're made, but i'm glad americans have jobs, and not just min-wage retail, either. from what i can tell, the denali is quite well made. i've no complaints. used to be we had a choice, nowadays not so much, especially at the low end where most of us reside. consumer electronics led the way, and here we are, it is what it is.
